Good books can strengthen the relationship between parents and children. Most children love the feeling of warmth and security that comes from snuggling up to mom and dad while listening to a story. For many children, an evening "story time" may become a precious memory, an event recalled in loving detail long after they reach adulthood.
What I see In My Mind
Is What I Get In My Life.
Third Graders entered the Scholastic Reading is Giving Contest. We read for 2 1/2 moths, in order to give 100 free books to students that could not afford to buy books. In fact, 3rd gradrs read 212 books instead of just 100 books. Students did not just read these books, but earned 100% on all of the A.R. tests for the 212 books read.
See Your Students Honored For Their Hard Work!
Every classroom that lets us know it has read 100 books will be entered by name, grade, and school on our "ClassroomsCare Readers' Hall of Fame" list. Visit www.scholastic.com/ClassroomsCare to see for yourself.
